Just dusting down my frock and shaving off the beard so I can attend the ladies only mountain board session I was sent an invitation to, today.

The girlie fest is being organised by Boardology at the Hales Superbole near Chester in the UK. Full details of the event can be seen on their Facebook, but I have reprinted the details here.

This year the 2nd Boardology Mountain Boarding Girlie Camp will be hosted by the fabulous Hales Superbole in Chester and it looks set to be another good one girls!
Hales Superbole is a family run centre that prides itself on a warm and welcoming atmosphere as well as professionalism. They have been selected to host the finals of the ATBA UK Series in August which is an awesome accolade. The centre has also become well known for its ‘Girl Sunday’ riding events which encourage lady riders to enjoy the sport without feeling intimidated by the fellas… So this is where it’s at Chikadees!

The Camp is open to all levels from newbies to advanced riders, so whether you have never set foot on a board before, or you just want to improve on your freestyle without any pressure, this is the best place to do it! Some of the UK’s best female riders will be there guiding you down the hills whether it’s your first session or whether you are already a hot rider.

The camp will be open to ages 10 and up although Under 16s will require adult supervision - what a cool way for moms & daughters to try something new together!

Further updates will be sent out shortly but we would love it if you could drop us an email to tell us you’re keen… The cost of the camp is £75 which will include your board and protection hire, expert tuition from ATBA certified instructors, your tent pitch and a hot shower! Hooray!.

If you are bringing your own equipment then the cost of the camp is £60. We are working on a price for the local pub to cater on site for the weekend so will keep you posted!!!

So, here’s what you do…ring up a few good girlie buddies who don’t mind roughing it a little…pack your tent, some old clothes, and your toothbrush (optional!) and head over to Hales Superbole for a weekend of mountainboarding without the boys!!!
